Balfour Beatty Energy from Waste Microsite and Literature Design

Creating fuel from waste is a great idea. But given that all the really clever stuff is hidden deep inside recycling plants, household waste sites and power stations, it’s a bit of a challenge to show it off, after all rubbish looks, well, rubbish! 

The only solution to make this a compelling piece of comms would be to use illustration, so I set to work devising what each illustration could be to represent each energy market. The client was thrilled with my thinking and my scamps were brought to life  by Sheffield illustration agency Dust who produced a set of light hearted illustrations to show the variety of energy from waste technologies.
